Justice tastes fucking delicious. Exposing the indifferent cruelty hiding behind a curtain of charisma and hierarchy is delectable. Witnessing the decay of culture that keeps abusers empowered is pure bliss.

This is the power and duty of the Pluto in Scorpio generation.

We are those born between November 1983 and November 1995.

We’re here to undertake tasks that require incredible strength and perseverance of spirit. We’re here to witness and alchemize pain and power that was too heavy, too hidden, too hard for those before us to see and touch. We’re here to usher in the death of structures that work to keep us disconnected, exploited, disempowered and suffering.

Trauma runs deep for us. We feel not just our own, but the collective’s too. We feel the unprocessed histories that our ancestors did not have the space or opportunity to heal from.

Through healing from our own traumas, we are learning how to transmute pain into power. We are reclaiming ourselves, our histories, our narratives, and our time.

We see the ways in which the abuse and neglect in our families and in our intimate relationships mirrors the wounds and imbalances of the collective. We feel the intimacy of connection between the unseen forces for destruction within and outside of ourselves.

We will name and shame the forces that have betrayed and abandoned all but those at the top who they serve.

We will destroy them.

We will pave the way for our Sagittarius and Capricorn siblings and children to build something more honest, more accountable, and more just.

We are the revolution, and the revolution will not be pretty. It will be full of venom and darkness and cries of fear from the powers that were.

This is why we’re here.

A few days after Inauguration Day in the US, when I was still a bit shy about stepping fully into my spiritual power, I made this status.

The power of the Pluto in Scorpio generation is something I’ve been grasping to understand for a long, long while. From that post:

On the night of Election Day I wrote a post that said something to the effect of, “Does anyone else hear a scream echoing through their very soul that says please don’t make me live through this again?”

I’ll be honest with ye all, yeah, I very seriously feel that scream in the pit of my being. It is this deep-seated dread that I’ve seen this before, in another life, or maybe just a history book that evoked enough empathy in me that my mind took the memory on as its own.

Maybe it’s my HYPERACTIVE IMAGINATION but I can’t look at the world right now and not believe that we are in this moment purposefully. We need to resist. We need to fight.

In a very concrete way, our lives depend on it. In a very spiritual way for me, our souls depend on it.

I’ll borrow a line from the wonderhuman Chani Nicholas:

“We were made for this.”

On that day, I felt activated. Yesterday, witnessing #MeToo, I felt activated again.

It’s no coincidence that we are where we are. It’s no coincidence that you, too, feel activated.

Let it wash over you.

This is why we’re here.

Jupiter is with us in Scorpio, interacting with Pluto’s home in our birth chart. For some of us, we’re having our Jupiter returns this year. This is a gift and reminder of our power. We just started honing it 12 years ago, when we were between 22-11. What were you doing then?

A 12 year old version of myself was learning how to make websites and use Photoshop. I was building an online community for myself (shout out to GSB xo), resisting verbal & physical abuse from my 24 year old siblings, yelling at boys who I overheard mocking other kids who were weaker than them, and reading about past lives for the first time. I was teaching myself astrology. I was writing manifestos while looking at the moon after a sudden burst of insight.

All of this–all of it–is the foundation of my arsenal right now. Unlike any other year, ages 11-12 were when I felt most purposeful. Most in sync. Most powerful. Even in the midst of childhood abuse, even in the midst of social isolation.

Jupiter has returned to its home in my 11th house Scorpio again. This time, I’m 23 and ready to roll, unrestrained by youth and abusive circumstances.

With Jupiter in Scorpio over these next 13 months, all of us in the Pluto in Scorpio generation will become activated again and again. When you feel the call to use your power: Answer it. The astrology has your back.

Today is a particularly opportune moment to do so. Mercury is with Jupiter, blessing us with the ability to communicate the darkness we see with our Scorpionic x-ray vision. To use our words as the fatal sting to someone misusing their power.

As this week’s tarot forecast reminds us, it is time to expose, unmask, defy, and destroy.

Interested to know where your strength in this work is? Take a look at which house Pluto in Scorpio is in your chart. I’m not an expert astrologer (yet) but here is my take. Share yours. Let’s get working, my droids.

Pluto in Scorpio in the 1st house

You are here to lead. Your perception is incisive; you can cut straight to the heart. Speak what you see. Lead the charge. The confidence to do this may come naturally to you. If the confidence has been hard won: It is well-deserved. Your individual process is a model of how death and rebirth can happen on a collective scale. Use your story to empower others. When the going gets tough, get louder. Help us start the movement again and again and again.

Pluto in Scorpio in the 2nd house

You are here to finance the revolution. Literally and symbolically. You have power to access incredible wealth, but you also have the power to dismantle the way we relate to wealth. The way we hoard it. You can expose how we rely on these exploitative systems for security–and that this security is a myth. Show us how our understanding of possession needs to evolve. Remind us how even our relationship to the earth itself is built on injustice.

Pluto in Scorpio in the 3rd house

You are here to notice the leaks in the system. You have deep capacity to see what’s hidden, and then the skill to communicate it sharply. Use your power of creative expression to cast light on what has been kept under wraps for too long. Collect the details. Notice the little things. You have an incredible ability to see what others miss. You can see the holes that have been boarded up; the chinks in the armor.

Pluto in Scorpio in the 4th house

You are here to witness and heal the pain of your ancestors. This means exposing those who harmed them, and working through the wound that you’ve been asked to carry. Alchemize this into power. Your relationship to your family is central to your work here. Both your relationship to your parents, and to your own children (by blood or by choice). You may feel especially called to work with cycles of trauma in the family.

Pluto in Scorpio in the 5th house

You are here to reconnect us with pleasure. To reveal the ways we have been cut off from experiencing it at full intensity. The ways in which our current relationship to pleasure, romance, and sex are rooted in abuses of power and control. You are intimate with the pleasure of death and rebirth. Unravel the cultural myths around desire. Show us what creative power and passion of interest looks like fully embodied. Use your art to destroy what keeps us disconnected from our capacity for ecstasy.

Pluto in Scorpio in the 6th house

You are here to serve and destroy the systems that fail to. You’re not to serve in subordination, but in partnership with others. It’s a sacred service. You make sure needs are met. You make sure T’s are crossed and I’s are dotted. You can spot chinks in the armor alongside your 3rd house partners and to expose the ways in which we fail to keep each other healthy. The ways in which we exploit the labor of others to keep this machine running. Disband that service. Dismantle this system.

Pluto in Scorpio in the 7th house

You are here to transform human relationship. You are a catalyst for transformation. Simply by connecting with another human, you ignite a new cycle of change. You see the ways we fail to connect honestly. The ways in which we hide away from intimacy out of fear of betrayal, rejection, or abandonment. You feel the intensity of these experiences. You call them out when you see them.  You will destroy the habits, beliefs, and structures that keep us isolated and alienated.

Pluto in Scorpio in the 8th house

You are here to destroy through sheer psychic power. You are pure essence of Scorpio and Pluto both. The master of death. Your gaze is penetrating. Your intuition is uncanny. Your knowing runs deep. You unravel lies just by looking at them. You are living embodiment of this work’s power. You are a human mirror. You show us our depravity. Because you cast light on what we want to keep under wraps, you may not always be well-received. Even by others in the Pluto in Scorpio generation. But you are at the core of this work. Keep us moving towards a search for truth. Show us how to seek it.

Pluto in Scorpio in the 9th house

You are here to begin the rebirth. While everyone else is in the middle of the death process, your ever-expanding mind and gentle optimism keeps us visioning the next life. You are a taste of the next generation. You would do well to bridge the gap between your own generation and the next. You will move us towards a new philosophy of being. You do well to dismantle the ways we hoard resources around knowledge. With an ache for knowing more, higher education may find you. You will expose its failures.

Pluto in Scorpio in the 10th house

You are here to topple the leaders. To unveil the truth behind carefully crafted public personas. You intuitively understand the way power is structured. Likely, you know how to get to the top. And once you’re there–you smash the whole thing. Invert the public image. Invert shadow and light. Bring the corporate demons out to play. Parade the grotesque truth behind institutions’ achievements. Bring it all to the surface. Reinvent our relationship to public success.

Pluto in Scorpio in the 11th house

You are here to rally the troops. When we all get caught in the mess of the day-to-day and our individual death-rebirth cycles, remind us of their tie in to the larger picture. You are able to relate the individual to the collective seamlessly. Use your passion for rebellion. Instill it in us. You see beyond the now and you do so with the passion of a revolutionary. Your power is in your networks. You will transform the collective in a serious way, because you are so attuned to it. Guide the masses through this cycle.

Pluto in Scorpio in the 12th house

You are here to complete the process. You are like a hospice chaplain for the old order. You are the undertaker for what once was. You will see the old guard out of this transformation. With your keen insight into the unknown, you can see what others may miss. You are also deeply connected to the collective, and the world beyond the veil. You know that all of this generational work is part of a process. You know that even the grief, the pain, the violence–they all have their place. You will help process these emotions. You will help us access our own shadows and make peace with them.
